Expanded library hours!

The North Las Vegas Library District is expanding library hours at all three of its locations.

Beginning Saturday, July 17, City Hall Library, 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. North, and Alexander Library, 1755 W. Alexander Road, will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Aliante Library, 2400 Deer Springs Way, will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

"We are ecstatic to extend our hours in all three of our library branches," said Library District Director Forrest Lewis. "Libraries are a major asset in our community and they're the building blocks for lifelong learning and strong communities. We're thrilled to expand our services to our residents."

All three libraries reopened to the public earlier this summer after closing to in-person patrons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While maintaining virtual operations, library staff also assisted with administering residential and commercial assistance programs, along with contact tracing and vaccination scheduling. These efforts were part of the City's dynamic and innovative COVID-19 response and recovery plan.

The library's annual Summer Reading Program is currently in full swing and concludes on July 31. To sign up, visit https://cityofnorthlasvegas.beanstack.org/reader365
