Improvements to your North Las Vegas utility bill and online account access…


We are pleased to announce that the City of North Las Vegas Utility Department is implementing a new customer information system that will simplify and improve the way our customers pay their utility bill. On Monday, August 27, 2018, we’ll have a new look for our utility bills and several upgrades to the online services we offer. The changes won’t impact your utility service. They’ll simply make it easier to track your usage, manage your accounts and pay your bill.

As we prepare to go live, the utility payment website will be down for several days. Please visit www.cityofnorthlasvegas.com for updates on this change.

 
THE FOLLOWING PAYMENT OPTIONS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FROM WEDNESDAY, 8/22/2018 FROM 4 P.M. THROUGH MONDAY, 8/27/2018 AT 8 A.M.

 

 Additional ways to pay your bill which will still be available:

    • PayNearMe (Cash only):  Residents can pay their utility bills with cash at any 7-Eleven, Family Dollar, or ACE Cash Express. There is no fee for using PayNearMe and payment is made same-day. All that is required is a PayNearMe barcode.
There are three ways to get a PayNearMe (Cash) barcode to pay your bill with cash today.\
    • You can text NLV to 88288 and receive a barcode on your phone to make a payment at 7-Eleven, Family Dollar, or ACE Cash Express.
    • You can print out a barcode and make a payment at 7-Eleven, Family Dollar, or ACE Cash Express by clicking on this PayNearMe link: https://www.paynearme.com/s/6847/b/NNUimd/edit

  • In Person at City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday at North Las Vegas City Hall, 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas, NV 89030
  • Direct Debit: If you’re currently paying your bill through direct debit, no change is required at this time.
    • Drop Box: Customers can quickly drop off water and sewer utility bill payments in a convenient drop box located in the customer parking lot at City Hall, 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. N
    • Mail: Your monthly utility bill includes a payment envelope and remittance slip. Simply follow the instructions on the utility bill and mail your payment in the payment envelope with the payment remit slip. Please do not staple or fold the remit slip. Mail payments to:

    • Convenience Pay:  Customers can pay their utility bills at any Western Union Payments Service locations, providing extended hours and more options for immediate bill payment.  To find a location near you visit: https://www.westernunion.com/us/en/agent-locator.html


What’s changing?

1.  Your account number

    • It’s being updated. Your new account number, which will be used for bill payments and online access, will be the first six digits of your existing account number, plus a unique seven-digit customer number.
    • This enhancement will allow for more account security and enable users with multiple accounts to group them together for easier access and more efficient maintenance
2.   The look of your bill
    • It’s easier to read! We’ve streamlined our layout and fonts to make our bills more customer-friendly and easier on the eyes.
    • Bills will still be itemized to make it easy to understand the charges.
    • Additional account information may be reflected on your new bill.
3.   The website you use to pay your bill

  • Your online account is still accessible through www.cityofnorthlasvegas.com, however the web page will have a new look. You’ll likely have to sign up with a new password on your first visit.
  • The enhanced website will include a host of new, customer-friendly features, including a more robust billing history and other easy-to-use options.

Our new technology minimizes the risk of a crash, helps keep your personal information confidential and provides an easy-to-use platform for all of our water customers.

  • At one of three payment kiosks located at North Las Vegas City Hall, 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Two payment kiosks are located inside the lobby and are available during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A third kiosk is open 24/7 and is located outside of City Hall, near customer parking.
  • Using the free, same-day PayNearMe service, available at 7-Eleven, Family Dollar and ACE Cash Express locations
