Services Offered
To request a report by mail, please include a copy of your identification, a notarized letter with case number and/or any other pertinent information and a self addressed stamped/postage paid envelope. When requesting a 911 call or photos, the envelope must accommodate a CD. All fees for the report must be included with the request.
The Record Division is open to request copies of reports or to obtain background checks Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If the above requested information requires extensive research to locate or extensive copying, the following charges will apply:
- A fee of $40.00 per hour for staff time necessary to research and retrieve the requested information. These charges are to cover the cost of retrieval only. They do not cover any reproduction costs.
- A $40.00 non-refundable deposit is required.
Acceptable Forms of Identification
For each of the above services a valid photo identification must be presented. The following is a list of acceptable photo IDs:
- Any valid State Driver’s License or State ID issued by the Department of Motor Vehicle
- Military Identification
- Passport
- Resident Alien Card issued by INS
Examples of identification that are not acceptable: health card, work card, or employment ID card.
Additional Services
CONVICTED PERSON REGISTRATION: Convicted sex offenders and other convicted persons living or visiting within the limits of the City of North Las Vegas must register with this Police Department within 48 hours of arriving in our City. For information on registering after Hours of Operation, please call 633-1715. Temporary registrations are issued 7 days a week.

Please be advised that even though you may have been waiting prior to close of business, we can not serve anyone after close of business. A limited number of appointments are available and can be made in person or by phone with advance notice.

*The fee increase for the Gaming Fingerprint Service is due to NRS 463.335.5(b) and SB72 which state that the Nevada Gaming Control Board is no longer collecting the State fingerprinting fees.
