The primary function of the North Las Vegas Sports Section is to provide sports programming for youth and adults in North Las Vegas. The emphasis is placed on healthful competition that promotes wellness in a recreational atmosphere. Programs are organized, conducted and administered by a professional staff with expertise in all types of sports activities. Competition is offered in a variety of skill levels for youth in basketball, flag football and soccer. Team competition is offered for adults in basketball and softball.
The Sports Section is responsible for administration of youth leagues; administration of adult leagues; allocations; tournaments and sports field rentals.
SOCCER LEAGUES-
This recreational youth league provides a fun environment for children ages 3–13 to learn and develop their skills in the exciting game of soccer while engaging in low-key competition focusing on good sportsmanship. Participants are randomly assigned to volunteer-coached teams which practice one evening a week at Seastrand Park on a night chosen by the coach. Games are played on Saturdays at Seastrand Park during the Fall and Spring seasons. Registration is taken online at www.cityofnorthlasvegas.com or at any Recreation Center.
BASKETBALL LEAGUE-
This recreational youth league provides a fun environment for children ages 7-12 to learn and develop their basketball skills while engaging in low-key competition that focuses on good sportsmanship. Participants are randomly assigned to volunteer-coached teams which practice one evening a week at Silver Mesa Recreation Center. Games are played on Saturdays at Silver Mesa Recreation Center during the Summer and Winter seasons. Registration is taken online at www.cityofnorthlasvegas.com or at any Recreation Center.
SPORT CLASSES-
An introduction to a variety of sports. Choose from beginner classes in soccer, football and basketball. Participants will learn the skills and fundamentals of the sport through active drills and fun games.
ADULT LEAGUES
The Sports Division coordinates and manages the allocation of athletic fields for City and non-city organizations to hold league play, practice and other sport-related special events. Athletic Fields are allocated and permitted in two, 6-month increments. The first is February through May and then August through November. The Sports Section also monitors proper use of allocations and permits.

Tournament Reservations: The City of North Las Vegas is able to help you with your tournament needs. All of our park facilities are available for rentals for tournaments. Call the Sports office at (702) 633-2573 or E-mail Form Link, for more information and availability.
Sport Field Reservations: City fields may be rented, based on availability, on a nightly or weekly basis for team practices and functions. Fees must be paid one week in advance.
