What is the Parent Ambassador Program?

The City of North Las Vegas has established the LearnNLV Parent Ambassador Program to expand access to high-quality schools by supporting families in understanding educational options and enrolling in the school that best fits their needs.

Parent Ambassadors are trained advocates who support and guide families through school-related questions and challenges. They support families in many ways, including: 

• Having one-on-one conversations to explore and understand school options and identifying the best fit,

• Providing technical and logistical support to navigate and reduce barriers to enrolling in schools, and 

• Offering additional support for specific concerns including challenges with their child(ren)’s current school and exploring school options and access to schools .
