Battalion Chief Hansen has more than 15 years fire service experience. He currently holds the position of Battalion Chief. and his prior experience includes being a Fire Captain, Fire Engineer, and Firefighter. He also served with the Bureau of Land Management as a Firefighter.

Battalion Chief Hansen's education includes: a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota, Associates of Applied Science in Fire Service Management, and Associates of Applied Science in Urban Firefighting from the College of Southern Nevada.
