Battalion Chief Gorgon has completed over 27 years in the fire service having served with the Bureau of Land Management, Carson City Fire Department and the North Las Vegas Fire Department. Battalion Chief Gorgon holds an Associates degree in Fire Science from Truckee Meadows Community College, Reno, Nevada, and a Bachelors degree in Fire Administration, Cogswell College, Sunnyvale, California. He is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer’s Program at the National Fire Academy. Battalion Chief Gorgon also served four years as a member of the faculty of the College of Southern Nevada, North Las Vegas, Nevada teaching in the Fire Science department.
